Refunds & Returns Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026
Thank you for shopping with the OBOD Store. We serve customers in the UK, the EU and around the world, and we want you to be happy with your purchase. If something is not quite right, this policy explains how cancellations, withdrawals, returns and refunds work.
This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer, including your rights if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error.
1. UK customers and your legal rights
The OBOD Store is based in the United Kingdom. If you are a UK customer buying online, you are protected by the Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act.
For most items purchased online, you have the right to:
• cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it;
• return the item within a further 14 days after telling us you wish to cancel; and
• receive a refund within 14 days of us receiving the returned item, or receiving evidence that you have sent it back.
If your order is faulty, damaged, not as described or incorrect, please see section 8 below.
2. EU customers: right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union buying from us online, you usually have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. This is sometimes called the cooling-off period.
For goods, the 14-day withdrawal period starts when you, or someone you nominate other than the carrier, receives the goods. If you order several items in one order and they are delivered separately, the 14-day period starts when the last item is delivered. If an item is delivered in several lots or pieces, it starts when the last lot or piece is delivered.
You may also withdraw from the contract after placing the order and before the goods have been fulfilled or delivered, unless an exception applies.
If the withdrawal period would end on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it is extended until the next working day.
After telling us that you wish to withdraw, you must send the goods back within 14 days. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the 14-day return period has expired.
For withdrawals and change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for paying return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error.
3. How to exercise your right of withdrawal
EU customers can exercise the right of withdrawal online by clicking the “Returns & cancellations” link in the footer of the OBOD Store. This link will take you to your customer account or order area, where you can request a return or cancellation for an eligible order.
The online withdrawal function will ask you to provide or confirm:
• your name;
• details identifying the order or contract you wish to withdraw from; and
• the email address or other electronic contact details to which we should send confirmation.
You will then be asked to confirm the withdrawal. Once you have confirmed it, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium, usually by email, without undue delay. The acknowledgement will include the content of your withdrawal request and the date and time it was submitted.
You can also tell us you wish to withdraw by sending a clear statement by email to store@druidry.org. You do not have to use any particular wording, but it helps if you include your order number, name, email address and the item or items you wish to cancel or return.
4. Our 30-day returns policy for unwanted items
In addition to any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights, we are happy to accept returns for most unwanted items within 30 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return under this 30-day policy:
• items should be unused, unwashed and in the same condition as received;
• original packaging, labels and tags should be intact where possible; and
• proof of purchase, such as an order number or receipt, must be provided.
For EU customers, this 30-day policy is separate from, and does not limit, your statutory right of withdrawal.
For unwanted items and change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return postage.
5. Items that cannot be returned unless faulty or incorrect
Some items cannot be returned for a change of mind or under the EU right of withdrawal, unless they are faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error. These include:
• gift cards and digital downloads or digital content once access has begun, where you have agreed to lose the right of withdrawal;
• items made to order or clearly personalised;
• sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons if they have been unsealed after delivery;
• perishable goods or items likely to deteriorate quickly;
• newspapers, periodicals or magazines, except subscription contracts; and
• hazardous or flammable materials, where return is not permitted by law or carrier rules.
If you are unsure whether a product can be returned, please contact us before ordering.
6. How to start a return
To start a return or cancellation, please use the “Returns & cancellations” link in the footer of the OBOD Store, use the returns process in your customer account or order area, or contact us at store@druidry.org.
Once your return has been arranged, please send items to:
OBOD Store Returns
Unit 1 The Granary
Highlands Farm
London Road, Bolney
Haywards Heath
RH17 5PX
United Kingdom
Please include your order number or a note with your name and contact details inside the parcel.
Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error. We recommend using a tracked postal service, especially for international returns, as we cannot refund items we do not receive unless you can provide proof that they were sent back.
7. Return postage
For unwanted items, change-of-mind returns and EU statutory withdrawals, the customer pays the cost of returning the goods to us. This includes the cost of any tracking or insurance you choose to use.
We will only pay or reimburse reasonable return postage where the item is faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error, or where we are legally required to do so.
8. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, not as described or incorrect, please contact us at store@druidry.org as soon as possible, and preferably within 30 days of delivery. Please include your order number and, where helpful, photographs of the problem.
We will arrange a replacement, repair or refund as appropriate and will cover reasonable return postage costs where the item is faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error.
9. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless we have agreed otherwise with you.
For UK statutory cancellations and EU withdrawals, we will refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier. For goods, we may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back.
Where you withdraw from or cancel a full order under your statutory rights, we will refund the price paid for the goods and the cost of our standard outbound delivery option. If you chose a more expensive delivery method, such as express shipping, we only refund up to the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option we offered. Return postage remains your responsibility unless the item is faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error.
We may reduce the refund if the goods have lost value because they have been handled more than was necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way you would normally examine goods in a shop.
Please allow additional time for your bank, card provider or payment service to complete the transaction.
10. Exchanges
We replace items if they are faulty, damaged or sent in error. If you would like a different item, size or design, please return the original purchase and place a new order.
11. Sale items
Sale items are covered by the same statutory rights as full-price items. If a sale item is faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error, please contact us. If you are returning a sale item simply because you have changed your mind, our standard statutory cancellation rights and 30-day returns policy apply where eligible.
12. Gifts
If an item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to the recipient, we may issue a gift credit once the return is received and approved. Otherwise, refunds are issued to the original purchaser and original payment method.
13. International customers outside the UK and EU
We are happy to ship worldwide. Customers outside the UK and EU may return eligible unwanted items under our 30-day returns policy.
• Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, not as described or sent in error.
• Customs duties, taxes and import charges are non-refundable unless required by law.
• We recommend using a tracked postal service for international returns.
