Which Pendant?

Found only beneath the hills of Castleton in Derbyshire, Blue John is one of the world's most geographically exclusive gemstones. This rare variety of calcium fluorite is instantly recognisable by its sweeping bands of purple, blue, and golden yellow — no two pieces ever the same.

Its story begins over 280 million years ago, though it was the Romans who first fell for its beauty, likely discovering it while prospecting for lead. Legend has it that two Blue John vases were unearthed at Pompeii — testament to just how long this stone has been treasured. By the 18th century it was gracing the finest stately homes in England, made famous by the craftsman Matthew Boulton.

With only a few small deposits remaining, Blue John is rarer than ever. Wearing one of these pendants means carrying a genuine piece of English natural history — as unique as you are.
